First 'singing' gig
DTC 2009
Finished performing my first singing gig for DTC 2009 (on Wednesday 19/8/2009). I wasn't supposed so 'sing' alone. It should be a duet. But at the last moment, the main singer didn't managed to sing and has to pull out. I don't know whether it was a good or bad thing.
The band was singer-less. I, myself was still gutless to sing. So when i took the gig, i was just trying to sing a bit. But in the end, I'm singing the whole song (John Mayer's "Daughters")with some back-up support from another colleague.
Things were not that scary after all. My hands usually will be icy cold just before the moment i went on stage. But some how THIS TIME, I wasn't. And my voice didn't tremble, or played the wrong chords (well except for "Man In The Mirror". Hahaha..
I even told some people that it was my first singing gig. I was seated with some sponsors and lecturer from Sunway University College, and some other university. Got plenty of GOOD feedback from them. Yeah ... i'm a happy man that night. Even managed to chat up with a gorgeous lecturer that night ;P
